What if I cannot obtain review copies? If you cannot obtain review copies, include a complete citation (title, author, publisher, date) in your nomination letter. The Book Award Committee will try to obtain copies.

What is the nomination deadline? Nominations for books published in 2016 must be submitted by March 15, 2017.

How are books evaluated? Books are reviewed by a Book Award Committee appointed by the Idaho Library Association, with members from around the state. The main selection criteria are strong writing, clear presentation, and significant Idaho content.

When is the award presented? The Idaho Book Award is presented at the annual conference of the Idaho Library Association in October.
